The concept of (protecting women's rights) refers to a set of laws, regulations, rules, principles, policies and practices that aim to protect women's rights and ensure their safety in all areas of life, whether legal, social, economic or cultural.
The concept of (protecting women's rights) can be divided into several aspects:
1. The legal aspect; This is done by enacting laws and regulations that criminalize violence against women in all its forms, such as domestic violence, sexual harassment, and physical and psychological assaults. This protection also includes laws related to equality in work, education and inheritance rights.
2. The social aspect; Which is related to providing social support to women who are subjected to violence or discrimination, including shelters, psychological counseling and hotlines.
3. The economic aspect; Which includes empowering women economically by ensuring that they have equal job opportunities and fair wages, and enabling them to contribute to businesses, in addition to providing financial support to women who need financial assistance.
4. The cultural aspect; Which focuses on awareness and education to enhance respect for women's rights in society and get rid of traditional ideas and practices that harm them.
The constitutions of countries and international conventions have guaranteed women's rights and recognized the principle of equality between them and men in accordance with their nature and stipulated their right to receive education, hold jobs in the public and private sectors, and obtain social and health assistance and benefits. Countries have developed policies, laws and initiatives to protect women, guarantee their rights, promote equality between them and men, and confront any practices that affect their dignity.
Finally, protecting women requires the effective participation of governments, non-governmental organizations and individuals to ensure a safe and just environment for all.
